The Bellevue Alumnae Center for Nursing History Oral History Program

The Foundation of NYS Nurses Bellevue Alumnae Center for Nursing History maintains an occasional oral history program. This program exists to capture the life stories of nurses whose careers contribute to the rich history of nursing in New York State. Following is a list of oral history interviews available at the Veronica M. Driscoll Center for Nursing. Many of the following interviews have been transcribed and transcripts are available to interested researchers.

2006 NYSNA FPU of Retired Nurses Oral History Project

In 2006, the Foundation of New York State Nurses and the New York State Nurses Association FPU of Retired Nurses began a joint project to capture and preserve the history of the New York State Nurses Association and the nurses and others whomade up its staff and membership. While this project is still in it's early stages, we are pleased to announce the completion of the first two oral history interviews.
